Not everything I write becomes a book.
Letters from the Porch is where I write about the things that catch my attention along the way—radio and advertising, Texas and Louisiana, Colorado and the West; people I’ve known, things I’ve learned, things that make me laugh, and occasionally something that makes me wonder what in the world everybody is thinking.
But not politics. Too many smart people are already doing that.
Some are stories. Some are observations. Some are memories that wandered back in and demanded to be written down.
